Hi, I’m Nicole
Anyone can tell you what to expect when you go to the dentist. It is a little more complicated to try and explain to someone what they can expect when you go to a therapist.
Hi, I am Nicole and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and have been practicing for over 18 years. One of the things I love about being a therapist is helping people understand what to expect when they call a therapist. I am a conversational style therapist and very much enjoy the volley of conversation as I get to know someone. I offer a safe, private space for you to share your story and your experience so we can figure out how to how you got to where you are and how to feel better. It is also helpful for me to know what made you decide to call and if I have the experience and expertise necessary to support you. Finding a therapist who has expertise and experiences matches what you are looking for and feels like someone you can be comfortable talking to is very important.
I really appreciate a collaborative relationship and will ask for feedback about our professional relationship and what’s working for you. I hold the highest regard for your privacy and the integrity of the therapeutic relationship we have which helps you feel safe sharing your experience and in making progress. Being vulnerable is not easy and it is important. It would be my privilege to be part of your journey and to help you begin to feel more like yourself.
